Aphorisms are everywhere, their claim to fame is to be our definitive words to live by, clear and direct. They are so ingrained in language that they pass by without a second thought. As an example we have the famous “actions speak louder than words” (which doesn’t bode well for this post). I’ve been thinking about this for a while, the main question running around me is: what are our new aphorisms? Our neo-aphorisms.
